Authors: Shelly Laurenston and Cynthia Eden
Description: They hunger for your pleasure. They growl for your touch. And in these sizzling stories by New York Times bestselling author Shelly Laurenston and Cynthia Eden, these sexy wolf shapeshifters are lust at first bite. . .
"Like A Wolf With A Bone" by Shelly Laurenston
Quiet little Darla Lewis couldn't be happier when the most-feared member of the South's rowdiest pack kidnaps her. A girl gets real tired of being overprotected by her own shifter family, and there's nothing like an oh-so-big bad wolf to start a pack feud, unleash her instincts--and have her surrender however and whenever she wants. . .
"Wed Or Dead" by Cynthia Eden
Gage Ryder knew his human bride had a wild side. But spending their honeymoon night on the run from hunters out to finish him and his pack is sure not the kind of fun he was looking forward to. No problem--Gage will do whatever it takes to lay bare Kayla's secrets and find the truth. If he can keep from being captured by his own seductive game. . .
My Thoughts: Let's start with "Like A Wolf With A Bone" by Shelly Laurenston. Egbert Smith, better known as Eggie, is sent on leave since all the shifters in his platoon are on edge around him after recent incidents. Not wanting to, but with no choice, he heads home. Darla May is also sent on vacation from her job, even though she doesn't want to be and doesn’t know why, and heads home. While waiting for his brothers as they argued with their wives, who happen to be Darla's sisters, he catches site of Darla. In his eyes, she is the prettiest, ok most beautiful, she-wolf he has ever seen. Darla wanders off and next thing you know she is in a life or death situation. Eggie, being the lethal marine he is, comes to her rescue. From there, Eggie brings Darla back with him and will do anything to protect her. Plus she seems to be the only one who can calm him and she isn't scared of him like most everyone around him, including his family. Darla has stirrings of her own and a protective side to match where Eggie is concerned. She won't let anyone speak a bad thing against him.
I loved this story. I've been a Shelly Laurenston fan since I got into paranormal romance. Eggie is your classic alpha, but is more of a loner in a way. When he is with Darla is the only time you see the other side to Eggie, the side one would never know about under the lethal killing machine. Darla was always thought of as fragile, but she turns out to be this big bad wolf. Darla May is sweet and her personality is addicting. There was never a dull moment in this story. You got the full Laurenston hillbilly southern sense of humor that will have you laughing your tail off, literally. It also has some steamy scenes and will have you cheering this couple on the whole story.
Next is "Wed or Dead", where Kayla’s mission is to get close to Gage at any cost. Gage just happens to be a wolf shifter and Kayla isn't a big fan of wolf shifters after an incident when she was younger. As a matter if fact, she has made it her mission to kill any supernatural being that harms people. Gage wants Kayla to be his and after getting her down the aisle to say "I do" she is, though she is in for a rude awakening and it’s not going to come from the man married. The man whom she is supposed to hate, but instead lusts after.
I will honestly say I love Cynthia Eden's books. I was a bit nervous on how, after having a rip-roaring not wanting it to end time with Laurenston's story, if Cynthia's would be just as good. I should have known this duo never fails me. It’s probably why I always buy their joint anthologies.
In “Wed or Dead”, Eden brings steamy hotness to an action filled story. I loved the strong kick ass heroine, who has a vulnerable edge, but still goes after what she lusts, loves and feels is right. Gage is just one sexy beast and the two of them together are combustible at times. I wasn't expecting the betrayal in one part of it, so I admit I gasped and had a little inner outrage on behalf of the leading lady.
I loved both stories quite a bit. You can never go wrong with a book containing these two amazing authors. Both bring different things to the table and are both equally worth devouring. In my eyes, this is definitely worth a read.

I'm so glad to hear this one is good! Shelly's one of my go to authors (LOVE the Pride series) but I've never read Eden. Looking forward to her out now :) Sounds like they're a good pair.
