for having me here today! All this month and next I'm talking about my PNR/UF
series, the Sons of Navarus as I get ready for the release of the 4th novel in
the series, Blood Prophecy.
Who are the Sons of
Navarus? Here's the series blurb to give you an idea:
Eight vampire warriors descended from the gods and chosen to
defend their world against the Archon takeover, each dedicated to the war they
must win. But there's another side to these Sons of Navarus—one that only the
women they love know. Behind the strength they need to defeat their enemies lies
a passion different in each one of the Sons. Their war will take them around the
world and even involve the gods themselves, but they must unlock the secrets of
the Prophecy of Idolas to defeat the Archons or perish in trying for none of
their kind can be safe if the Archons win this battle.
In order of their
stories, the Sons are Vasilije (Blood Avenged), Saint (Blood Betrayed), Terek
(Blood Spirit), Ramiel (Blood Prophecy), Thane, Sion, Dante, and Nico. Each is a
descendent of Idolas, the grandson of Hades, and the god Apollo. These vampires
come from good stock.
As someone who's
studied Greek mythology, I knew when I began the series that I wanted to tie
that in with my idea of vampire lore. It didn't take long to decide which god
would be the natural ancestor of vampires. Who better than Hades, the God of the
Underworld, always in darkness and ruling over the dead? But before you get the
idea that the Sons work for him, you should know that he's no fan of vampires.
As the series goes on, the Sons find that they're not just fighting the Archons
but the god himself.
