Review for Naughty Nature by Allie Standifer

Title: Naughty Nature
Author: Allie Standifer
Description:  Aria's always had a secret need to give up her normally tight control, but she'd never dared to act on it. Until one night a mysterious card with 1-800-DOM-help appears in a very personal place. For the first time in her life Aria's taking a chance on fate and the promise of a stranger to discover her every veiled desire.

ER doctor Mac Hudson has always known who he is and what he wants. Now he's looking for a sub to explore all the erotic cravings and fantasies he wants to share. One hidden glimpse of Aria and Mac's ready to claim the petite sub in every way he can.

A single night of passion is all she expected, but with her handsome Dom she got so much extra. Now Mac's asking for more and Aria doesn't know if her naughty nature is up to handling a dominant alpha male for more than a single encounter

My Thoughts: By chance Aria finds a card in her box for 1-800-Dom. You could say it happened at just the right time. She wants to let loose in the bedroom and no guy has been able to take her there in that way. Always curious about BDSM she gives in and calls the 1-800-Dom number and is in for the night of her life with Mac. Mac is a Dom looking for the perfect submissive to train. Once he sees Aria, he knows he found it and more.

This is my first venture into the 1-800-Dom Series. As they are all written by different authors and can be read as a stand alone I will go check out a few of the others.

I really enjoyed Aria because she was curious and even though she was nervous she stuck to her guns to experience the BDSM lifestyle in all its glory. What woman hasn't thought about it at least once? I know I have . It doesn't hurt when you have a sexy Dom who wants to show you an experience that you won't forget and multiple orgasms. Mac was one hot Dom who could tie me up any day. I loved seeing the potential love build and that it could go past this book. I really enjoyed this story  and my experience into the 1-800-Dom Series. Now where is my card when I need it? Standifer did a good job with this addition to this series.

Review for The One by Lora Leigh

Title: The One
Author : Lora Leigh

Description: Brenna's love for Jase has grown from a crush to a soul-searing need, a painful hunger . . . and an unrequited ache, because the savagely sexy Texan doesn't feel the same. A bequest and stipulation in his father's will have hardened Jase, it seems. Now she must endure three months of living under his roof. Three torturous, tension-filled months and Brenna will have fulfilled the stipulation; will be free to attempt to regain the heart lost to Jase so long ago.

Since the age of eighteen, Jase has protected Brenna-from himself, as much as anyone else. Living with her proves too rousing even for his iron will. He'll claim what's his, take Brenna in ways he'd previously only dreamed, sink so deeply inside her luscious body he'll never find his way out. And be damned if he'll let her go.

A scorching Texas summer can't compete with blazing lust as Brenna gives in, gives over, gives all that she is to Jase, to the only man she's every loved . . . to the one

My Thoughts:Brenna has always loved Jase. It started as a crush, and then matured into the love of a woman for a man. While Jase, on the other hand, lusted and cared for her, he thought to protect her so he kept her in the sister category which means hands off. Tired of waiting and watching, by chance on Jase's birthday things go a step further and get a little hot and bothered between them. Once he is able to think again without a lustful mind he backs off and Brenna goes back to life as she knew it at college. Now she is back home to fulfill a part of a will and she must deal with the pain, love, and lust she feels for Jase . But jase is battling the same lust and growing feelings.

Ok, anyone who knows me knows I love Lora Leigh. When I saw this, like all of Leighs work, I had to have it. I just needed to get my smut fix like only Leigh can give me at times. My first thought when I saw the price was wow a bit steep for a short read, but I still bought it. As for the book I actually enjoyed it for a short. I bet it would have been even more amazing if it was longer. I loved Jase cause he had my emotions all over the place about him. One minute I wanted to yell at him, the next I wanted to hug him for that tender side he had toward Brenna, but he had a guard up so he didn't get hurt. The sex was hot. Brenna is great too, except I would have been happier to not have her on the verge of tears or crying too often. I'm used to the leading ladies of Leighs to be just as strong and fierce and confident as the males. I loved her loyalty to do what she had to ensure the farm would stay with Jase even if that meant months of heartache and pain. It showed strength and a bit of backbone. And yet with all that being said I still read this short in one sitting and didn't want it to end. I will always be a fan of Lora Leigh and if you pass up the fact of the price and the leading lady is on the verge of tears a lot it's a good read. Filled with love and hot sex, just how I like it.

Review for Rescued By A Rake (Rakes and Rogues #1) by Gwenan Haines

Title: Rescued By A Rake (Rakes and Rogues #1)
Author: Gwenan Haines

Description: A gothic romance set in 19th-century England.

In a desperate attempt to flee the advances of her lecherous employer, governess Lydia Taylor steals his pistol and sets off across the Yorkshire countryside. After spending two months as a virtual prisoner at Stanbury Manor she wants nothing to do with Lord Hugh Stanbury—or any other man.

When Lord Jack Sibley glimpses a ghostly figure wandering the moors his first instinct is to ignore the auburn-haired beauty. Rumored to be the devil incarnate, he has a reputation as a heartless scoundrel who murdered his brother's fiancé on the eve of her wedding. Does Jack set out to rescue the beautiful woman to placate the demons that haunt him--or is his mission merely a clever ruse to bed yet another woman?

Whether she is threatening him with a pistol or seducing him by firelight, the 23-year-old Lydia is as untamed as the moors she grew up on. Though he dare not admit it, Jack may have finally met the only woman whose passion can rival his own... but if he is certain of one thing it's that passion can be deadly.

My Thoughts: Lydia is a governess. After an unwanted advance on her was made by the despicable Lord Standburry, she escapes into the cold and rainy night with his pistol as her only source of protection. Fighting the elements of the weather she rushes blindly into the night. She thinks she is heading to town, but winds up at the moors, and right into the path of the rake lord, Jack Sibley. Fighting a few of his own ghosts Jack happens to see Lydia outside in his moors caught in the storm. When he sees Lydia he is drawn to her wanting nothing more than to protect her and her fiery temper even with a pistol pointed at him. Lydia has heard rumors about the devil Sibley but her growing feelings of attraction and love won't be stopped once she sees the true Sibley.

I really enjoyed this book. It may not be for everyone cause everything is kind of fast paced in this short novella. I had never heard of Gwenan Haines before this review was requested, but I can tell you I am happy I know her work now. For a short read, it is captivating and it had a bit of excitement along with the romance; not to mention the passion between the characters. Though it was spicy and the sex scenes were hot, it wasn't overboard. I wish it was longer not because it needed to be, but cause I didn't want it to end, and it would have built the intrigue and our feelings for the characters more. Lydia is feisty and knows how to take care of herself, but underneath it all there lays a slight hint of vulnerability. She is also a woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to take it. Jack is your handsome yet addictive leading man who is tortured by the pass demons and lets people think of him as "the Devil" when he is caring and tender and passionate. I believe Haines is a talented author that i will enjoy reading more of her work. I will be looking out for the next book in the Rakes and Rogues series.

Review for Eternal Desire by Lauren Wilder

Title : Eternal Desires
Author: Lauren Wilder

Description :  Charles Pryce is sinfully sexy. Women fall at his feet, literally. He really knows how to treat a woman, but then he should-he's been around. For over four hundred years! When he meets Samantha, he falls in love for the first time in centuries. He sets about seducing her, and they are blissfully happy until evil Vamp Viktor rears his ugly head. Charles is desperate to win Samantha's heart. He wants her for all eternity, but will she still want him when she discovers his dark secret?

My Thoughts: Wow, where do I begin? When I was asked to review this book by Lauren, I was told it was different than “Her Hearts Desire“, which I also reviewed, that was no lie. This short story is sensual, passionate, and erotic. Samantha sees Charles while at a party and goes up to him, flirting. What Samantha doesn't know is he felt an instant desire as soon as he saw her and knew he had to have her . Also, he is a vampire. Charles pursues her, but she is hesitant since she was recently hurt. Despite the reservations, they both can't deny their sexual pull to one another. The romance between Samantha and Charles is not only way hot in the sex department. but tender and sweet. Viktor, the villain, was written so well, you loved to hate him. I devoured this short, steamy read and the ending had me majorly swooning. Lauren Wilder brought her writing to a whole new level in this read and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.

Review for The Last Soul (Seduced by a Demon) by Carolyn Rosewood

Description: Faina has been dead for one hundred and fifty years, but she’s about to become human again. All she has to do is seduce Jace Blackmon, the most honest financier ever to grace the city of angels, into signing away his soul.

Jace Blackmon has fallen in love with his fantasy woman. But when he realizes she was tricked by a demon to bring about his ruin, including the revelation of a long-buried secret to the media, he must choose between his heart or life without her.

Summary: Faina has a mission....just one last soul and Mastema will finally fulfill the contract and send her back to the human realm. The only problem is she doesnt understand what Hell wants with Jace. On all accounts he is kind, always helping others, and an all around nice guy. He also just happens to be gorgeous, sexy, and extremely good in bed. Jace has never met anyone quite like Faina. She matches his needs in the bedroom as well. Though he sometimes finds her elusive on providing answers to some personal questions, he cant help the fact that he is falling for her. Neither can Faina who starts to feels guilty about what she may have to do.

My Thoughts: What can be said except WOW!! Carolyn Rosewood started out the story with a bang. i always say, if you can get my attention in the first few pages, its a winner, and she had it and kept it. Mastema is your evil villain and she paints him so well that i was sitting there glaring at my kindle every time his name was brought up. You really feel for Faina cause her story is so sad and in your head you're secretly wishing something good will happen for her even if she comes off kinda ruthless at first. So when she is with Jace, who is your typical good guy you are rooting for them and hoping its not just cause of her demon powers. Let me tell you, there i some extremely hot scenes in this story that will burn the sheets. Rosewood managed to make this story intriguing, sexy, and at moments sweet. I cant wait to read the next one.

Review for Her Slave

Title: Her Slave
Author: Lisandra Lantigua

Description: Nelly & Ryan have been dating for a year now, Nelly wants to finally explore who she truly is... with Ryan, but he will have to give himself entirely. Is that something he's willing to risk, or will he leave her hot, wet and single?

Summary: "What's your fantasy?" three little words that had Nelly telling her boyfriend her inner desire. That desire is a sex slave, not just any sex slave, but Ryan as her sex slave. Ryan, you can tell, is excited bout the idea. Needing help to pursue her first experience in being a dom, she turns to her best friend Lucy,  and Lucy's boyfriend Manny for a bit of help. After not hearing from Ryan a few days, Nelly is nervous he wont show and explore this sexy, passionate side of her.

My Thoughts: Lisandra Lantigua has certainly surprised me with this very short read. Talk bout packing a punch of sexual desires in one book. What woman doesn't want to dominate her man from time to time, especially knowing it turns him on just as much? Nelly makes girls relate by wondering if they're daring enough to explore there fantasy side and let their passion rule the bedroom. This book makes me wonder what to expect for part two, and hope that its longer and steamier then this one. I will for sure be checking out the next edition.
